Eva Longoria called America a "dystopian country."
Hey Americans, Eva Longoria feels bad for you poor slobs.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire to commemorate her showbiz career as she nears her fifth decade, the politically active Texas native said one self-aware thing.

“I’m privileged,” she proclaimed.

It went downhill from there as she spoke about her new life in both Mexico and Spain, while going on to bash Trump.

“I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

After backlash from a Marie Claire article, actress Eva Longoria said she was a “proud American.”

Don’t cry for us, Eva.

Don’t even pop a Xanax in our name.

Even without all the dinero and connections she has, we’ll somehow manage to soldier on in the greatest nation on earth.

And people around the world will continue to risk life and limb for the very chance to live here and taste the freedom and limitless opportunity that helped launch her into a star.

Especially now, as our country heads in an optimistic direction. Wokeness and DEI are receding and people are no longer self-censoring to avoid cancellation. Free thinking is cool again.

This last election was an emphatic rejection of identity politics, open borders and bad progressive policies that wreaked havoc on our great cities and made the cost of living so damn high.

Many readers misunderstood her sentiment, thinking she was the lone celebrity to actually carry out a threat to leave the country should a Republican president win the White House.

But that was not the case.

“Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of the United States because of Trump?” she implored Ana Navarro in “The View: Behind the Table” podcast, noting she’s been in Europe for a few years.

“I’ve always been a proud American. Proud Texan,” she added acknowledging the backlash for her out-of-touch interview.

Sure, madame. We heard you the first time when you pitied the fools who have to live here. And said the country “is a scary place.”

Longoria wasn’t chased out by MAGA bogeyman. She left California after COVID, and in the Marie Claire article blamed homelessness and high taxes. Two issues exacerbated by… You guessed it! Far left politicians like California governor Gavin Newsom and, of course, Kamala Harris – the very woman she worked hard to unsuccessfully elect president.

Tent cities filled with homeless people have turned sunny Los Angeles into a vagrant’s playground.
Despite not living here anymore, she, like George Clooney, is still heavily involved in Democrat party politics. She spoke at the DNC in August and tried to rally the Latino vote for the dems.

But those very same quality of life issues that bothered her, pushed normie common sense liberals to crossover into the Republican party and pull the lever for Trump. The president-elect sealed his victory by building a new multi-ethnic coalition of working class Americans.

It was also a giant Heisman to the elites and celebrities like Longoria who stumped for Harris.

But it’s okay. The “Desperate Housewives” actress has her Mexican and Spanish “escapes” which are true utopia, right?

No. Or as they say in both those countries, No.

I have deep ties to Spain. My grandparents were from the Basque Country and my favorite uncle from Galicia. Most of my family has dual citizenship, and some split time between there and the States. I visit at least once a year. It’s a special country but not one without its own problems with migrants, corruption and its own growing right flank.

Just two weeks ago, their cowardly Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez fled a disaster zone after locals, upset over the lack of government intervention after apocalyptic floods, attacked his car. The king and Queen stayed – but their car was also pelted with mud and rocks.

Then of course, there’s Mexico, where some regions are controlled by drug cartels and gruesome political assassinations seem to have become a national pastime.

In both of these places, Longoria’s wealth and celebrity she built in the good ol’ US of A insulates her. Wherever she decides to call home, she will be a coddled, rich celebrity.
